Calvance obtains reference exchange rates through Frankfurter, which collects data published by central banks and other official institutions.
Reference rates and calculations
Frankfurter’s blended rates are derived calculations, not official quotations from any single contributing institution. Calvance derives conversions between currencies from a common base. Conversion results may therefore differ from the original publications, market quotations, or the rates offered by banks and payment services.
A canvas keeps its current exchange rates until you choose to update them. The displayed date is the observation date, or range of observation dates, rather than a live trading timestamp. Reference rates are provided for information, without a guarantee of accuracy, completeness or availability. For tax, accounting or transactions, consult the relevant official publication or service provider. No contributing institution endorses Calvance or its calculations.
Sources and applicable terms
The source register below lists contributors to the reference rates. Original publications and applicable terms are linked where available. The institutions’ source publications are publicly accessible; Calvance does not claim ownership of their data. Under Frankfurter’s data terms, the software’s MIT license does not cover all underlying exchange-rate data, which remains subject to each source’s terms. A link or its absence does not establish redistribution permission; this page does not grant additional rights or replace any authorization required by a source.
