Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Calvance (“we”, “us”, or the “App”) helps you create visual calculations. This policy explains what information Calvance processes, why it is processed, how long it is retained, and the choices available to you.
Information we process
Account and authentication information
Creating an account is optional. If you create or sign in to an account, we process the account identifier, email address and display name supplied through the selected sign-in method, authentication-provider metadata, and profile image URL when available. Authentication credentials are handled by the relevant provider and Supabase; Calvance does not store your Apple or Google password.
For Sign in with Apple account deletion, Calvance may obtain a short-lived authorization code solely to exchange and revoke the Apple authorization during that deletion request. The code and resulting Apple tokens are not written to a database, analytics, logs, or other persistent storage.
Canvases and synchronization
Canvases are stored on your device. If you sign in and use Premium synchronization, the canvas content, structure, metadata, revision information, and synchronization records are also transmitted to and stored in Calvance’s cloud service so that they can be synchronized between your devices.
Local canvases that have not been added to an account remain only within the local App data unless you export or share them.
Purchases, subscriptions, and devices
To provide, restore, reconcile, and protect App Store purchases, we process the store, product identifier, transaction and original transaction identifiers, purchase status, ownership type, purchase, renewal, expiration, refund and revocation information, offer information, price, currency, country or region, environment, and a pseudonymous installation or device identifier.
While an account or entitlement needs it, we may also process device brand, model, system name, and system version. These descriptive device fields are deleted when the device is no longer referenced by an account or a retained entitlement.
Usage analytics and diagnostics
Calvance uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand feature use, diagnose failures, and improve the App. This may include interaction events, feature state, app version, device and operating-system information, crash traces, and pseudonymous analytics or app-instance identifiers. For a signed-in user, Calvance may associate events with a pseudonymous analytics identifier; we do not send canvas content, canvas names, email addresses, display names, Apple authorization codes, Store tokens, or complete Calvance user IDs as analytics parameters.
Aggregated or irreversibly de-identified analytics that can no longer be associated with an account may be retained after account deletion.
Contact and support
If you contact us, we process the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send in order to respond and resolve the request.
How we use information
We use information to:
- create and authenticate accounts;
- store and synchronize Premium canvases;
- provide, restore, reconcile, and prevent fraud involving App Store entitlements;
- operate, secure, diagnose, and improve Calvance;
- answer support requests; and
- comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, dispute, and platform obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
Service providers and disclosures
Calvance uses service providers including Supabase for authentication, databases, cloud functions, and storage; Google Firebase for analytics and crash diagnostics; and Apple for App Store purchases, subscriptions, and Sign in with Apple. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies and only for the services used by Calvance.
We may disclose the minimum necessary information when required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or to protect users, Calvance, or others from fraud, abuse, or security threats.
Retention
- Account profiles, account-linked cloud canvases, synchronization records, and account links to purchases are deleted when account deletion completes, subject to the limited records below.
- Premium subscription and transaction facts are retained for three years from the latest of the last relevant event, expiration, refund, or dispute resolution. A later renewal, refund, or dispute restarts the period for the affected record.
- The minimum facts and pseudonymous device link needed to restore a permanent Local purchase are retained while Calvance remains responsible for restoring that purchase. After a final refund or revocation and the end of the three-year dispute period, they are deleted.
- Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations.
- If a law, tax authority, or active dispute requires longer retention, only the minimum required records are retained for that period and are not used for incompatible purposes.
The retained purchase and subscription facts do not retain the deleted Calvance user ID, email address, display name, Google Analytics user ID, canvas data, or Apple tokens.
Deleting your account and data
In the App, go to Settings → your profile card → Account → Delete Account. Calvance provides two confirmation steps before deletion.
Deleting the account permanently deletes the Calvance account, profile, account-linked cloud canvases and synchronization data, and canvases belonging to that account on the current device. Local canvases that were never added to the account remain on the device. Permanent App Store purchase rights and the minimum transaction facts required to restore them are not deleted.
Deleting a Calvance account does not cancel an App Store subscription. An active subscription may continue to renew and charge until you cancel it through Apple. Premium users can open Manage Subscription from the Account page before or after beginning the deletion flow.
When possible, Calvance automatically revokes Sign in with Apple during deletion. If automatic revocation is unavailable or you choose to continue without it, Calvance still deletes the account and provides Apple’s instructions for stopping use of Sign in with Apple manually.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. You can edit or delete canvas content in the App, export supported canvases, delete your account in the App, manage App Store subscriptions through Apple, or contact us about a request.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network transport, access controls, authentication, and data-minimization practices. No system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device, operating-system account, and sign-in credentials and keep the App updated.
Children
Calvance is not directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to online services in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Calvance, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required.
